ECE Crashplan

Signup

1. Create an ECE Account
2. Contact the ECE IT Team to request a Crashplan account. Please include your ECE username.
3. You should receive an email when your account is ready.

Installing

1. Log into the ECE Crashplan Console with your ECE credentials.
2. You should be prompted to download the Crashplan application on first login.
3. Otherwise, select Devices in the left menu.
4. Select the "Add a new Device" button (looks like a monitor with a +, next to the gear icon, top left).
5. Download and install your OS's version of Crashplan PROe.
6. After installation is complete, Crashplan should open automatically.
7. Select "Existing Account" and fill in the form
   • Server Address: crashplan.ece.vt.edu:4282
