Graduate students and Research Groups may use the CVL for backing up their work.
Please, only backup important files--don't backup your entire computer. The OS can easily be reinstalled and all your pictures, music, etc. is your responsibility to backup. But for work related files, the CVL is excellent to backup to.
For restoring your files, since you are just copying files to your CVL account, use the standard CVL restore procedure here.
