- Contact support@ece.vt.edu and request that your PID be added to the AnSYS license group.
- Create a user account with the same account name as your PID.
- Create the license environment variable
- Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings
- At the bottom of the Advanced tab, click on Environment Variables...
- Click New.. under the User variables box
- Variable Name: ANSYSLMD_LICENSE_FILE
- Variable Value: 27002@ansys.software.vt.edu
- Install the program with default options
Please keep in mind that if you are not on VT main campus in Blacksburg, you must use the campus VPN to access the license server. See: http://answers.vt.edu/kb/entry/3537/
