How to use mathematica on cvl


Mathematica only runs on the CVL Workstation machines, cvlws[01-06].ece.vt.edu.

Follow these steps to run and activate the software.

  1. Log in to any work station by typing the following command.
    • ssh -X ECEUSERNAME@cvlws[01-06].ece.vt.edu
  2. Once logged in, type
    • mathematica
  3. A product activation page will open up. Select Other ways to activate at the bottom left part of the screen.
  4. Select Connect to a network license server
  5. Enter this address : willow.ece.vt.edu
  6. Accept the terms of agreement and click OK
