PuTTY is a SSH client for Windows and is an alternative way for you to access the CVL via the internet when you are not able to work in the lab on campus.
Downloading and Install PuTTY
To Get PuTTY go to the downloads page and select the first option of PuTTY.exe
Save the file to your desktop (fg.1).
Now open up PuTTY.exe, as you can see there is installation required.
You will need to select, oh the left side categories, under the SSH option the tunnels option. Here you will want to enable X11 Forwarding(fg.2).
