Use windows password reset disk: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-password-reset-disk Use NTPasswd Offline: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Linux

Boot into single user mode and type passwd <user>

Mac OS

Mavericks

  1. Restart Mac
  2. Hold Command-R after the chime
    • On a windows keyboard, hold Windows-R
  3. Menu Bar -> Utilities -> Terminal
  4. type the following
resetpassword
  1. Enter new password

Single User Mode

  1. Shut down your Mac if it is on.
  2. Press the power button to start the computer.
  3. Immediately press and hold the Command key and one of the following:
    • the "s" key for single-user mode. (Command-S)
    • the "v" key for verbose mode. (Command-V)
