There are a variety of different commands that will start the Virtuoso environment. The different commands will include different packages in the actual executable, so if a lightweight layout editor is needed than 'layout' can be specified, whereas if the entire Virtuoso suite is needed at runtime, 'icfb' can be specified. They all take the user to the Command Interface Window which includes the library manager. This document specifies which executable does what:
