We are basically trying to recover our cost of the consumables for printing.  Currently we are charging $2.00/sq.ft.  Thus

a typical poster size print of 36"x48" would be about $30.  For photo printing, we are charging $3.00/sq.ft.

The cost of printing must be charged to an ''overhead'' account, this tends to limit printing to faculty use only.  A faculty member may pay for student's prints if they so choose.
