PCSGU250 FAQ
Downloading Drivers and Software
- Go to http://www.vellemanusa.com/us/enu/download/files/
- Download the file 'pcsgu250_drivers.zip' under the 'PCSGU250: PC Scope and function generator combi (USB)' header
- Unzip the pcsgu250_drivers.zip you just downloaded into an easy-to-find location
Installing Drivers
XP
- Plug in the USB Oscilloscope
- Open Device Manager (Control Panel -> Device Manager)
- In the list under 'Other Devices' you should see a PCSGU250 device with a yellow question mark next to it.
- Right click this device and choose 'Update Driver'
- In the Hardware Update Wizard, select "No, not this time"
- Choose "Install from a list or specific location"
- Check the "Include this location in the search" box and click on 'Browse'
- Click on 'Browse' and navigate to the folder location where you unzipped the driver software and select the PCSGU250Driver_USB folder
- Make sure that 'Include Subfolders' is checked
- If you get a dialog window popup, select 'Install this driver software anyways'
- You should now see a PCSGU250 Device in your Device Manager list
Vista/Windows 7
- Plug in the USB Oscilloscope
- Open Device Manager (Control Panel -> Device Manager)
- At the top of the list, right click on your computer name and select 'Scan for hardware changes'
- In the list under 'Other Devices' you should see a PCSGU250 device with a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

- In the Update Driver wizard, select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
- Click on 'Browse' and navigate to the folder location where you unzipped the driver software and select the PCSGU250Driver_USB folder

- You should now see a PCSGU250 Device in your Device Manager list

Troubleshooting
Bode Plot Hangs
When running on a 64-bit machine, you must install the PCSGU250Driver_WinUSB driver, not the PCSGU250Driver. If you have accidentally installed the PCSGU250Driver, follow the directions for uninstalling and installing drivers
