His research interest is applying reinforcement learning and deep learning techniques to wireless communications. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. His research interests are in the broad area of wireless communications,​ neural networks, machine learning/​deep learning and beyond-5G networks. Shashank was a research intern in Intel Labs for the summer of 2021 working on machine learning for wireless networks.
