Now he works as a postdoc in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA. Now he works as a postdoc in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA. After that he joined Ericsson as a wireless network optimization engineer for 7 years. He received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Now he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. His research interest is applying reinforcement learning and deep learning techniques to wireless communications. Lianjun has been a research intern in the Standards and Mobility Innovation Lab of Samsung Research America for three consecutive summers from 2019 to 2021. ### \\ {{:shashank.jpg?135x175 |shashank}} Shashank Jere\\ Ph.D. Student (Fall 2019 - )\\ ### Shashank Jere received the B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2014 and 2016 respectively. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a Platform and Product Development engineer at Qualcomm Technologies Inc in San Diego, CA working on sub-6GHz and mm-Wave transceiver SoCs. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. His research interests are in the broad area of wireless communications, neural networks, machine learning/deep learning and beyond-5G networks. After graduating, he become a research assistant in Chiao Tung University and worked on mmWave beam allocation algorithm and stochastic geometric for 2 years.
