Wireless@VT Printing

Student

First, remove the old printer(s)

• Start -> Devices & Printers -> Right click on the printer to remove and select Remove

Adding Printers (See note below)

Method 1 (Windows 7)

• Open Windows Explorer (Start -> Computer)
• In the address bar, type "\\fileserv.wireless.ece.vt.edu" and hit enter.
• Log in with your your MPRG account: "mprg\<USER>"
• Right click on the printer 432StuBWu and select "Connect..."

Method 2 (Windows 7 & Windows XP)

• Start -> Devices & Printers
• Click on Add a Printer
• Select the network printer option
• Select "The printer I want isn't listed"
• Select a shared printer by name and enter "\\fileserv.wireless.ece.vt.edu\432StuBWu"
• Enter your MPRG account "mprg\<USER>" if prompted.

• Note: If you are using the MPRG-Lan, use "\\192.168.1.230\" instead of "\\fileserv.wireless.ece.vt.edu\"

Faculty/Staff

Same instructions as above, but use the following:

• "\\fileserv.wireless.ece.vt.edu\FSC8560" (Color)
• "\\fileserv.wireless.ece.vt.edu\WaVTFSBWu" (B&W)
