Wireless@VT Printing
Student
First, remove the old printer(s)
- Start -> Devices & Printers -> Right click on the printer to remove and select Remove
Adding Printers (See note below)
Method 1 (Windows 7)
- Open Windows Explorer (Start -> Computer)
- In the address bar, type "\\192.168.1.230" and hit enter.
- Log in with your your MPRG account: "MPRG\USER"
- Right click on the printer 432StuBWu and select "Connect..."
Method 2 (Windows 7 & Windows XP)
- Start -> Devices & Printers
- Click on Add a Printer
- Select the network printer option
- Select "The printer I want isn't listed"
- Select a shared printer by name and enter "\\192.168.1.230\432StuBWu"
- Enter your MPRG account "MPRG\USER" if prompted.
- Note: If you are using the VT-Wireless or are not behind the MPRG network, use "\\fileserv.wireless.ece.vt.edu\" instead of "\\192.168.1.230\"
Faculty/Staff
Same instructions as above, but use the following:
- "\\192.168.1.230\FSC8560" (Color)
- "\\192.168.1.230\WaVTFSBWu" (B&W)
