Please note that you can only sign documents that have been saved with the Reader Enhanced Security functions.

  1. Download and install the latest version of Adobe Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/
  2. Download VT eToken PDC Setup v8.2 for Macintosh from http://network.software.vt.edu
    • Make sure you save the License Key to a text file before closing the broswer
  3. Install the package. This WILL reboot your computer automatically, please save your work
  4. In the menubar, there is a ribbon-like icon with a s. left-click on it and select About
  5. Click on "Import a new license" and enter the License Key from step 2
  6. Plug in your VT eToken
  7. Open Adobe Reader Preferences and select Signatures
  8. Select More... under Identities & Trusted Certificates
  9. Expand Digital IDs, select PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens and click Attach Module
  10. Enter /usr/local/lib/libetpkcs11.dylib into the path dialog box, Save and Close
