The CVL has a wide format document printer. The printer is an Epson Stylus Pro 9800 Professional Edition, a 44" wide photo-ready printer.

For example we can print:

  • Posters
  • CAD drawings
  • Banners
  • Photographs

Formatting

We ask that all posters be sent to us as a PDF file. This helps ensure print quality. Be sure to verify that your PDF looks correct and has the correct page size before sending. Keep in mind that pictures downloaded from the internet often do not have the image resolution to look good when printed at poster size.

Here is an excellent article on Image Resolution and Printing: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/essentials/image-quality/

Here is an article on how to convert Powerpoint Posters to PDF: http://www.eng.usf.edu/posters/pdf.html

Great! How do I use it?

In order to print something on the plotter you need to contact one of the IT support people:
John Harris
Branden McKagen

They will setup a time to get the job printed out and help you with formatting to insure you have a quality project printed.
