How to use mathematica on cvl


Mathematica only runs on the CVL Workstation machines, cvl[01-06].ece.vt.edu Follow these steps to run and activate the software.

  • Log in to any work station by typing the following command.
  ssh -X ECEUSERNAME@cvlws[01-06].ece.vt.edu
  • Once logged in, type
  mathematica
  • A product activation page will open up. Select Other ways to activate at the bottom left part of the screen.
  • Select Connect to a network license server
  • Enter this address : willow.ece.vt.edu
  • Accept the terms of agreement and click OK
